I started to work at the age of 8, watching my familly working in our italian deli in Gela, Sicily. I started cleaning and restocking shelves, helping customers with their shopping bags and why not doing delivery. I remember moments where i would love to play with my friends but I couldn't because they need my help. My father issue reminde me that one day I will not regret, and all my experience and knwoledge will be foundations for my future. Well in my young age you don't think about it, you just would like to do what other kids are doing. It was sad, I must admitted, but i must admit also that my father was right.

In my teens i was working in the deli sections. I loved open the big wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano and also remove the bone in the Prosciutto San Daniele. That was fun. Prepering dishes and cooking was the cherry on the cake. Keep in mind that Italians take a lot of pride of our cuisine and those moments are in my memories.
